My Most Requested Recipe

Ingredients:

Defrost juices. Stir sugar into water until completely dissolved. Add juices and extracts. Keep chilled until serving time. Just before serving, add 7-up and stir.

Note: This recipe is presented as written when I received it. Six-ounce cans of frozen juice may be hard to impossible to find, so you will want to scale accordingly. I defrost 12-ounce cans, mix them together, then use half to make the recipe and reserve the other half for the encore.

  • 1 six-ounce can frozen orange juice

  • 1 six-ounce can frozen lemonade

  • 10 cans of cold water

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

  • 1 quart 7-Up


#1 - Ginger Lime Spritzer

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces club soda

  • 1 ounce ginger lime syrup

Ginger lime syrup is equal parts sugar and water simmered with fresh chopped ginger and ½ part lime juice. Start with 1 ounce ginger syrup per cup and adjust to your liking

#2 - Virgin Mojito

Ingredients:

  • 5-10 fresh mint leaves

  • 1/2 fresh lime

  • 8 ounces club soda

  • 1 ounce simple syrup

  • Pinch of sugar

In a cocktail shaker, muddle mint with a pinch of sugar and small sliver of fresh lime. Add remaining ingredients. Stir and serve in a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with lime and a mint.

#3 Orange Honey Ginger-Ale

  • 2 tablespoons fresh OJ

  • 1/3 cup honey ginger simple syrup

  • 12 ounces club soda

Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Strain into a chilled glass.

To make honey simple syrup, combine 2-¼ cups of sugar and 3/4 cup of honey with 4 cups of water in a small saucepan. Add 1/2 cup or so chopped ginger. Bring to a simmer for 20 minutes then cool. Strain into a storage container and refrigerate. Add more or less ginger to your liking.


#4 - Tonic with Lime

Ingredients:

  • Tonic Water

  • Fresh Lime

Nothing to it. Fill a glass with ice, add tonic water and a squeeze of fresh lime.

  • Few splashes orange bitters

Pour chilled club soda into a glass of ice. Add a few splashes of orange bitters.

#7 - Ginger-ade Spritzer

  • 1 part lemonade

  • 1 part ginger ale

  • 1-2 parts club soda

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Strain into a tall glass filled with ice.

#8 - Orange Lemonade Cooler

Ingredients:

  • 1 part orange juice

  • 1 part lemonade

  • 1-2 parts club soda

Combine 1 part each orange juice and lemonade. Add 1-2 parts club soda. Pour into a chilled glass.

#9 - White Grape Spritzer

Ingredients:

  • White grape juice

  • Ginger ale

  • Fresh lemon and orange slices

  • Optional: Frozen grapes, lemon slice, or orange slice for garnish

Drop a thin slice each of lemon and orange into a cocktail shaker. Press gently to release juices. Combine 1 part chilled white grape juice with 1 part ginger ale. Strain into a wine glass. For a less sweet and less caloric version, add 1-2 parts club soda.

  • Fresh basil

  • Lemonade

  • Club soda

  • Pinch of sugar

  • Fresh lemon for garnish

Muddle 5-6 basil leaves with a few pinches of sugar in a cocktail shaker. Add equal parts lemonade and club soda with a few cubes of ice. Strain into a glass of ice. Add a squeeze of lemon.

Pour club soda into a glass of ice. Add 1-2 tablespoons per 8 ounces. Top with maraschino cherry.

#18 - Canadian Shirley Temple

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup orange juice

  • 1/2 cup ginger ale

  • 2 tablespoons grenadine syrup

  • Maraschino cherries

Layer orange juice and ginger ale in a tall glass of ice. Spoon in the grenadine an allow it to settle on the bottom. Top with maraschino cherry.

#19 - Tangerine Rosemary Mocktail

  • 1 tablespoon rosemary infused simple syrup

  • 1/4 cup fresh tangerine juice

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons sprite (optional)

  • Club soda

Combine juices in a serving glass. Add sprite (if using) and simple syrup. Top with 4 ounces club soda.

(To make rosemary infused simple syrup, simply add a few sprigs of fresh rosemary to equal parts sugar and water. Bring to a boil then steep for 15-20 minutes. Remove rosemary and store in refrigerator.)

  • 1.5 cups water

  • Ginger lime simple syrup

  • Fresh lime juice

  • Club soda (optional)

Puree cucumber and water; set aside.

Combine 3 parts cucumber water with 1 part ginger lime syrup and 1 part lime juice in a cocktail shaker. Pour over ice. For less sweetness and fewer calories, add club soda.

  • 4-5 slices cucumber, peeled and seeded

  • 2 ounces club soda

  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice

  • 1 ounce simple syrup

Muddle cucumber in a cocktail shaker. Add club soda, lime juice, simple syrup and a few ice cubes. Strain over ice.

#24 - Sparkling Mint Lime Iced Tea

  • Mint teabags

  • Lime

  • Club soda

  • Simple syrup

Brew one teabag for every 8 ounces of hot water. Allow to chill completely (preferably overnight).

Add equal parts tea and club soda to a glass of ice. Squeeze in the juice of 1/4 to 1/2 lime. Add 1 ounce simple syrup per 8 ounces iced tea. Garnish with mint leaves if desired

#25 - Pineapple Ginger Sparkler

Ingredients:

  • 6 ounces pineapple juice

  • 6 ounces ginger ale

  • 8-10 fresh basil leaves

  • Sliced fresh ginger

  • 2-3 slices fresh orange

Place basil and ginger and orange in a cocktail shaker. Smash or muddle to release flavors. Add pineapple juice, ginger ale and ice; stir. Strain into serving glass.

  • 4-5 slices cucumber, peeled and seeded

  • 1 ounce simple syrup

  • 1½ ounces mango puree (I used mango nectar)

  • 1½ ounce lime juice, fresh preferred

  • 1½ ounces ginger beer

Muddle cucumbers in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add simple syrup, mango puree or nectar, lime juice and ginger beer. Pour into a rocks glass over ice

  • Hot water

  • 2-4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 3-4 whole cloves

Pour boiling water into a tea mug with cinnamon and cloves. Add honey and lemon juice. Steep 7 minutes, then remove spices and stir

  • 1 cup frozen mango, thawed, or mango puree

  • 1 cup plain whole-milk yogurt

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1-2 tablespoons honey

  • Pinch of cardamom

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Add ice as desired for consistency. Puree until smooth.

  • 6 fresh kiwis, peeled and roughly chopped

  • 3 cups fresh lemonade (I use Simply Lemonade)

  • 1 liter of club soda

  • Pinch of sugar

Puree kiwis in a blender with a pinch or two of sugar. Pour kiwi puree into a pitcher with lemonade. Refrigerate until cold. Just before serving, add chilled club soda to kiwi lemonade mixture. Serve over ice.
