Clown in a Cornfield may sound - corny - but it is actually the title of a series of young-adult novels. This movie adaption does justice to the slasher genre and is well worth the 96-minute run time. A teenage girl moves with her father to the seemingly quiet, fractured town of Kettle Springs. The community is reeling from a factory fire and has deep tensions between the conservative adult population and the rebellious teens. As the new girl befriends a group of local high-schoolers, a masked killer dressed as the town's mascot, Frendo the Clown, emerges from the cornfields to enact a bloody purge on the town's youth.
We look forward to more installments with Frendo the clown as there are two books in the series ripe for production.
