After an accidental murder, a fugitive and his girlfriend hide out in a remote motel, but their safety is soon threatened by strange disturbances from the next room and the ominous legend of a masked serial killer who once haunted the area. As the man's paranoia and guilt intensify, the couple finds themselves facing a new terror that connects with the town's dark and unhealed past.
